Thursday was the visit to National Museum of Singapore for the Quest for Immortality exhibition. It felt surreal to be there, with Mummies and artifacts from nearly a thousand years ago. We got free admissions into the exhibition and it was cool, really. This is one of the artifact from the exhibition. Supposed to be the statue of some King/Lord from that time if I remembered correctly.

The picture below shows an actual sarcophahus (Egyptian Coffin) whereby there is an actual Mummy inside. It was creepy initially but curiousity overwhelmed the fear and I just couldnt help but stare at the exhibit. Imagine, there's a woman from a thousand years ago dead wrapped with linen and lying in the sarcophagus right in front of you now. Tell me who wont freak out. Haha. If I remembered correctly, this is the one where there's 3 corpses in it. The researchers did a X-ray check on it because they were unable to open it up. One of the corpse is the mother of the other 2 corpses. The other 2 were corpses of babies, believed to be twins who died just after/before birth. Sadly, the mother died during labour too. Therefore, all three of them are placed in the same sarcophagus after death.

I found out that the National Museum of Singapore is actually quite a nice place to hang out in. I might visit again soon. Haha.
